Konad Multi Stamp and Sunday's Manicure

Happy Sunday,

After Friday's manicure today I decided to do some stamping. Before I show you my nails I purchased the new Konad Multi Stamp. Since the scraper is attached to the stamper it works alot faster for me. Just scrap and stamp. What I like about it, I have my plate on top of a paper towel after scraping on the design I slide the scraper on the paper towel, this cleans off the polish so no drips. Then all I do is stamp. This elevates me from cleaning off the scraper with a cotton ball or Qtip. What I don't like about it is the metal scraper wish it were plastic because the metal scrapes up the plates. Other then that I'm glad I got this :D

The stamper is double sided the other end is green and smaller. The holder is nice to display it on top of your nail station.

Here are the directions

I stamped my (right hand) non dominant hand first, but got better stamping results with my dominant hand (left hand). Everytime I stamp my left hand comes out so much better. (Wonder why?)

I like how you can see the glitter peeking through the silver chrome and how you can see like a shadow of the glitter through the petals of the design.

Weekend Nails with Spoiled Cougar Attack

Yesterday while walking around in CVS went to check to see if they had gotten in the new line by Wet n Wild *Spoiled*. Most of this collection put me in the mind of Sinful Colors. I did pick up a few of the multi-colored glitters. (Geesh, I think I have enough glitters already) I picked up Cougar Attack and thought the name sounded familiar, come to find out Wet n Wild had this one in their On The Prowl Collection. I never found this collection in my area so you know I was happy to find this little gem.

Cougar Attack-packed full of copper glitter suspended in a brown jelly base. The formula was thick so I added a few drops of thinner to make my application easy. The brush was a whopper but it helped cover the polish well on my nails. 2 coats.

Maybe A Dupe To Butter London Disco Biscuit

Good Morning,

It's time for I wear pink on Wednesday! Butter London Collection Spring 2012 looking at Disco Biscuit was thinking about purchasing it because of it being a very bright pink with purpley/bluey shimmer in the mix. The name is cute too. It did look familiar to me so, I started roaming thru my Alex and grabbed Funky Fingers *Manic Flamingo*. I haven't seen Disco Biscuit just on various blogs. To my surprise money saved. I purchased Manic Flamingo a few years ago while visiting relatives up north. It still might be available at your local Five Below.

My camera is not picking up the blue shimmer to well here

These pictures are with 2 coats no topcoat. Formula wise easy to apply kinda jelly like. I hear Disco Biscuit is really sheer not so with Manic Flamingo.

These last 2 pictures are with 3 coats and 1 layer of topcoat which looks better because it's a little dull without it.

If you are lemming Disco Biscuit but want to save some $$$ get Manic Flamingo. I hope you find it!

P.S. I'm keeping Manic Flamingo in my purse so when I visit Ulta I can do a comparison. I just want to make sure. Lol! :P

New Trend Water Colour Nails

Good Morning,

I'm excited to show you this new trend: Water Colour Nails. I initially saw it on BeautyGeeks website. I'm trying to get into doing more nail art so I thought I should give this look a try. Not to bad if I can say so myself. Just simply add dots of color and blot it with acetone using a makeup brush.

These are the polishes I used

I bought Whirlwind White at CVS during the sale. Glad I did it's a nice opaque white. Used 2 coats.

Just think of all the color combo possibilities for this look. What are your thoughts?

Going In Circles

I'm happy it's the weekend! I did several things to my nails. First, I put on 3 coats of Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Eel Skin. Second, one coat of Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Glass Slipper. I can see myself putting it on every creme I own. And, third did a stamping with Chanel Vendetta using XL Plate B.

Why does macro have to show every little flaw. Lol! I promise it looks better irl

Glass Slipper killed my lemming for Illasmaqua Raindrops and CND Sugar Sparkle. (Hugs bottle)

Looks like Caramel

Good Morning,

I have an unusual color on today. Most of you will think it's the most ugly color in the world. I'm fond of all colors and I particular like these types of colors. Looks like caramel to me. Makes me think of a retro candy I use to eat while growing up. Squirrel Nut Zippers...Yumo! Nfu Oh JS39 is a jelly. Only complaint I have once on the nail at 3 coats it's not bottle color. I also slathered on a coat of Lynnderella Change.

OPI Pepe's Purple Passion

Good Morning! It's the weekend...Yay!

I was looking for a particular dark green to put on. I couldn't find it so I grabbed Pepe's Purple Passion from the Muppet's Collection and started polishing. How amazingly saturated it is! I could have applied one coat but I used the usual two coats. I think it's lovely, I would describe it as a dark raisin plum with gold and purple glass flecks.

Purple Glam

Good Morning,

While in Kmart looking for Revlon Whimsical I spied a Jordana display. Purple Glam caught my eye because it's such a beauftiful grape purple with confetti/bar glitter that sparkles. I did pick of the last Whimsical from the Revlon display. My camera is picking this up as a bloody looking purple if that makes since. It's much softer. Very easy to apply and only needed two coats.

The others from the display were just your basic colored creams.

I haven't participated in Pink Wednesday for awhile now. So, I'm excited it's hump day Wednesday and I'm sporting my pink! First, I put on Finger Paints-Winter Sky from the Merry & Bright Holiday Collection. No, it's not pink but it's a bright teal with light blue shimmer. Sorry my pictures aren't showing it's true color. Then, I put one coat of L. A. Girl Glitter Addict-Provocative a dark fuchsia pink glitter on top. I'm quite pleased with this look.

Clairie's Periwinkle

Good Morning,

Before taking off yesterday's polish (Icing Blue Heaven) I put on a coat of Clairie's Periwinkle. It's a really pretty duochrome that flashes teal, purple and pink at different angles. Duochromes are thin so they are best applied over a dark base color. I wish I could have taken a better shot of it in the sun.

Blue Monday, Icing My Blue Heaven

Good Morning,

The other day I had on a beautiful periwinkle shirt that leans on the purple side. My husband says: "That's a pretty color do you have a polish that color"? I rambled through my polishes pulled out a few potentials and came up with Icing Blue Heaven. I heard it's similar to Chanel Blue Boy which I don't have and if it is a close dupe money saved...Yay! Oh, well it doesn't quite fit the description of periwinkle none the less it's a lovely blue and I'm glad I chose it to wear today.

The formula a jelly creme which I love and wish all my cremes were like it. Easy two coats.

Can you name a perwinkle that I just might have in my stash? What are your thoughts on My Blue Heaven?

Orange Sprinkles

I asked hubby what color to wear today he chose Orange. I pulled out Confetti Conga Line. It's a mid-tone orange with gold shimmer. I layered one coat of Klean Color 88 Fireworks. It has lots of multi-colored hex and round gold glitters. It looks so much better in real life y'all *-*

Sunday Nails with Hello Kitty Night Sparkle

So, I decided to order a few things from Sephora. Hello Kitty has new colors Night Sparkle was interesting to me so in the cart it goes. I could not believe it's a one coater I'm happy with that! Night Sparkle is a deep swampy blacken green with green and golden shimmer.

Dr. Remedy Jolly & Joy Collection 2011 Swatches and Review

Good Morning,

Dr. Remedy has 5 new shades that are rich and radiant from the Jolly & Joy Collection. 2 micro fine glitters and 3 gorgeous shimmers. I finally had time to swatch these up.

ESSENTIAL Emerald a lovely green with silver shimmer. Easy 2 coats

REVIVE Ruby Red is such a gorgeous velvety red shimmer that glows. 2 coats

PASSION Purple is another beauty a rich plummy red purple shimmer. 2 coats

RESOLUTION Red Glitter superfine red and silver glitter. Very opaque! If you were in a hurry you can slap this one in one thick coat and be out the door. I used 2 coats. Fast drying, but dries to a matte finish.

SERENE Silver Glitter another superfine blue, magenta and silver micro glitter. It too dries to a dull finish. 2 coats

Just for fun here are some looks

This is Resolution Red Glitter with funky french Revive Ruby Red tips. Look how shiny it looks with topcoat!

This is Serene Silver Glitter with funky french Passion Purple tips. Also with topcoat.

Overall, I like this collection. Before swatching them I thought they were just ordinary polishes, while applying them and seeing them on my nails they are so rich and vibrant. Just lovely! I'm really impressed with the glitters on how opaque they are. No problems with the formula just make sure to add a good topcoat for the glitters for shine and to have a smooth finish.

Venique Nail Lacquers

Cosmoprof has a new brand of polish Venique and it's made in the USA. What's different about Venique Nail Lacquer is that it is made with Sil-Tek a silicone based ingredient that creates flexibility within the polish to guard against chipping and flaking.

"Your nails expand when they get wet and contract again when they dry", explains Melissa Hoogendoom, senior marketing executive. Sil-Tex's flexibility enables the polish to accommodate those normal variations.

In addition, the diamond dust inside the topcoat makes it extra shiny . These polishes suppose to take a full 10 minutes to dry. Sil-Tek comes with a surprise you can buff it just a little bit and the shine will come right back. I guess this means when dulls just buff it back to shine.

My display didn't have the topcoat so I used Gelous and Seche Vite.

Cosmoprof will be rolling out January 2012 with 78 colors. I'm sorry to say you won't see Venique nail lacquer in mass market :(

Blue Suede Shoes a steel blue shimmer. It has some silver veining in the bottle. It was opaque with one coat but I used 2 coats. Love the pro-wide brush.

Deborah Lippmann Maneater

I finally got my hands on Deborah Lippmann Maneater from the Holiday 2008 Collection. It's my first and only Espresso deep dark vampy brown JELLY. It's near black but I still love it. I used 3 coats.

Now that my nails are short and I'm enjoying them at this length I can't wait to use my XL stamping plates.

I might just top it off with some glitter!

Chi and Lynnderella's Gotta Love Brains

Good Morning,

One of my Professional Stores (Salon Centric) was clearing out there Chi Nail Polish Line. They went on clearance for $1.00 so I picked up a few. To bad Chi doesn't make a whole lot of interesting colors but I like the names they come up with. Subway To Wall Street is a medium grey with a hint of shimmer. It's from the New York City Collection Fall 2010. Very nice formula and I used two coats.

Lynnderella Gotta Love Brains is a light grey base with lots of different size glitters and colors. Next time I will use a light grey base before applying it. I still like the way it turned out.

Look at that big O chunk of glitter on my index finger.

This mani is holding up very well now on day four with no chips. (Yay!) I can't stop looking at my nails. Lynnderella has some awesome blends of polish and I can't wait to wear the rest of them!! ♥♥♥

China Glaze Fortune Teller

Good Morning,

I finally got around to wearing China Glaze Fortune Teller from the 2009 Halloween Collection. I'm so sadden that I missed getting Spellbound :( Well, back to Fortune Teller...It's such a pretty polish. I really like the black base formula with copper/orange glitters. I prefer my glitters with a colored base rather then a clear one. Only needed two coats to cover well.

After a couple of days before removing I used my konad stamp plate M57 with Wet N Wild Chrome Steel.

The print is on my pinkie finger just not showing up on the picture. It kinda looks like a snake skin pattern don't you think?

Orly Nite Owl

Good Morning,

I was itching to put on a nude color. I just purchased Orly Nite Owl from Bird's Of A Feather Collection Fall 2011 I love it!!. Such a gorgeous taupe light brown packed full of shimmer. The application went on smoothly with 2 coats and I also applied topcoat.

As you can see I am down to nubs. I think I will keep them short for awhile

Ozotic Pro 503

Good Morning,

I love love oversea nail polishes. I wish I could own everyone from the Ozotic Pro line. Multichrome/Duochrome texture polishes are so amazing to me. They show so many colors at different angles when you move your fingertips around. Today, I am wearing Ozotic Pro 503 it shifts from an emerald green to bronze, pink, purple and blue. Only one coat over black. Too bad I couldn't capture all the colors.

I can wear this one over and over again!

I have Dr. Remedy's Autumn Allure Like Never Before collection polishes to show you. Three (3) fall deep and radiant colors!

BALANCE Brick: A modern maroon with body and balance, Very pretty red brick creme

DEFENSE Deep Red: A rich Bordeaux with a mystifying matte finish, Deep wine creme Dr. Remedy states this is a matte finish. Not at all and I didn't use a topcoat.

NOBEL Navy: A sea-at-dusk shade that reflects light and brings dimension to tips and toes alike, Deep blue creme

Nothing special in this collection. I do like wearing super bold colors like these in the fall. My favorite is Nobel navy. I used 2 coats for each polish. Defense Deep Red is a little tricky to apply to keep from getting bald spots I used 2 thick coats. After taking it off I did experience a little staining.

A Peachy Desert

Good Afternoon,

The other day I went to Walmart and spotted some new Sally Hansen Diamond Strength polishes. It's about time for some new shades from this line!. The bottle is new too it's carved with diamond shapes on the sides of the bottle. Some really pretty ones were missing from the display. Oh, well I did pick up a few that interested me.

410 3K or More! is a peachy desert sand color with gold shimmer mixed in that's very visable on the nail. I like it, it's a nice change if you want a break from wearing dark colors. It took 3 coats to cover well. I also topped it off with Seche Vite.

Sorry neither picture is color accurate. It's between both pictures if you can imagine that. Lol!

Mont Bleu: Crystal Glass Nail File Review

Since we love nail polish and love to polish our nails we need some tools to keep them in shape. I love using a crystal nail file to shape my natural nails. Crystal files are so much more gentle on the natural nails then emery boards or files for acrylic nails. Each and everytime just before removing my nail polish I file my nails lightly just to keep them shape nicely and if I feel I want to cut down on the length I use my crystal glass file.

This file runs across the free edge of my nails smoothly

I have another crystal file that only one side is usable but, this one you can use both sides, it's durable and usable

Baby Shower Nails

Hello Ladies,

I'm so excited! I'm going to be a first time Grand Mother...that's right little ole me. Well, tomorrow is the baby shower. My son/daughter-in-law is going to have a boy!! I can't wait to see Bryson. The colors chosen for the shower are blue, green, and brown I love these colors for a boy. So, I decided to finally wear my Chanel Haute Chocolat. It's a very pretty dark brown with a shimmer of gold in it. It's dark but not so dark it looks black. This polish launched October 2008. I used two coats with topcoat NYC quick dry nail polish.

Sorry, my middle fingernail broke right down in the flesh. I tried to repair it don't want that sucker to snag off. Ouch!

Pink Wednesday...CND The Plum Truffle Collection

Good Morning,

Seem like forever that I've done a Pink Wednesday. Okay, here is Plum Truffle it's a beautiful rich plum creme. I love CND cremes they are opaque with one coat, but as always I used two coats just because. I love this shade. Hubby doesn't say much about the other colors I wear, but he loves plum-wine colors. After I took this off he wanted me to put it back on. Lol!

Then I added just one coat of Plum Truffle Sparkle a fine pink shimmer in a clear base. I love this look as well!

Finger Paints Merry & Bright Collection Swatches and Review

Good Morning,

Finger Paints Merry & Bright is a new collection which consist of shimmers and glitters. I used 3 coats on each of the swatches except Winter Sky.

Comet's Collar is a lime green with multi-color shimmer that sparkles

Yule Be Marry is a pink red which has a glow from within.

Winter Sky is a deep teal blue that has a slight shimmer to it. It's my favorite from the bunch!

Next are the three glitters in the collection. These are much better to layer over a creme base.

Frosty Night is a silver fine glitter in a clear base. I think it would look awesome over a charcoal color base.

Santa Kisses is a sparkly red glitter. It would have been opaque if I added on a 4th coat but with a red base polish would probably only need one or two coats.

Drummer Boy is a sparkly blue glitter also would be awesome over a blue base polish.

My favorite is Winter Sky I only needed two coats I love this shade of blue. Comet's Collar is the most unique one in the collection with all the multi-color shimmer in a green base. Yule Be Marry really impressed me I like the way it looks on my skintone.

I know it's been a few weeks since I posted a nail of the day. I have been so busy lately and just to lazy to change my polish. I'm happy to post this lovely polish though. Sinful Colors come up with some funny names. Lol! Where do they get these names?? I have on Whats Your Name it's a black base creme with blue glitter shimmer mixed in. No problems with the formula and two coats covered very well.

These Sinful Colors are so inexpensive and are very good polishes.

I'm really surprised my camera picked up the blue glitter. Doesn't it look like the night sky?

Blue Monday, Essence Underwater with Colorama Lights Of Lilac

Good Morning,

I finally got a chance to change my Manicure. I wore Revlon's Starry Pink for a whole 7 days without any chipping Whoo Woo! thanks to Seche Vite. Today, I have on Essence Underwater a dark blue with a hint of blue shimmer. It dried to a deeper blue. I could barely see the shimmer on my nails. Afterwards I applied Colorama laser lights topcoat in Lights Of Lilac, it's a sheer pink base with lilac colored flakies. My pictures are showing the flakies in blue but they are lilac.

Sunday Nails with Revlon Starry Pink

Hello Lovely people,

I am so in love with Revlon Starry Pink. I wish I can have one like it in every pastel color. This polish is so elegant! A pastel pink creme with silver speckles of glitter with mid size hexagon glitter. I think I'm going to get a backup bottle because I love it that much. I didn't know how sheer it was so I first layered on two coats of OPI Step Right Up! from the ‘Femme de Cirque’ Spring 2011 Collection. SRU is a very sheer pink and was great to use as a base. Then I layered two coats of Starry Pink. It just flowed right on the nail and the glitter spreaded out evenly too. It applied so well I didn't have to clean up. To smooth it out I layered one of Gelous followed with a coat of Seche Vite. I can't stop looking at my nails ya'll.

I'm sorry to show you these pictures of my broken pinkie nail but I just had to show you this polish. It's not so obvious in real life though.

If you didn't pick this one up yet I suggest you grab it when the next time you visit your local Target store. You won't be disappointed. You might even want to grab a backup. Lol!

Today, I'm wearing Verbena from SinfulColors Beverly Hills Collection. I snagged this from Walgreen's a while ago. It's a mid-tone purple creme that applied very well with two coats. I did an accent design on my ring finger using L. A. Colors Art Deco Nailart Lacquer in yellow and black. The dots I used FolkArt acrylic paint in white. Macro picks up everything. It looks horrible close up....warning, warning don't blow this picture up. Lol)

Blue Monday, Blue Streak

Good Morning,

Remember when I was telling you that I bought a couple of Ulta Salon Formula Nail Lacquer polishes from Ulta...Well I got a couple from the sale bin. Ulta has changed there packaging from square bottles to round bottles. Blue Streak is a mid-tone jelly-ish blue. The first coat was pretty opaque 2 coats were used here. This blue tone is so pretty! I haven't used my Claires Flakies in a while so I layered on one coat of the blueish jelly flakie, sorry no names on this collection of flakies.

Lately, I've been wearing all my swatches for a whole week without changing that's why I haven't been posting much. I seem to love them more and more each day.

Hello Nail Beautiquers,

I always try to take my camera with me at all times. You just never know what you may find. On my way to work I stopped by a Walgreen's that's literally up the street from me. I like this Walgreen's because it's open 24 hrs. Here are some collections that I found. I didn't purchase anything....at least not yet. Lol! *-*

When I saw this New Milani set my eyes bugged out. Lol! I haven't seen a new Milani Collection in a few years. When I first glanced at it I thought it was a collection of Krackles...(notice how they spelled it) I said to myself Milani has jumped on the crack wagon. It's a beautiful set of 6 shimmers and a black Krackle. Notice how they demonstrate how to use these. (cracks me up. Lol!) *-*

When I saw this I shouted Whoa!! I looked around and glad no one was in the store but little ole me. (I was there 6am) Just look at this rack of Cherimoya 2012 Crackles. There's every color that you can imagine! Let me know if you have tried them. What colors do you recommend? It's kinda hard to see the price from the picture, but they are $2.99 each or buy 2 for $5.00...not bad at all *-*

Sally Hansen has some new colors, they are just your average fall colors.

Blue Monday, Milani Blue Flash

Good Morning,

Hurricane Irene decided not to hit Florida Yippee! Hurricanes are no joke. All those that were affected I wish you well and hope you and your families are okay *-*

I tried my first Milani one coat glitter yesterday and loved it so much I decide to put on another today Blue Flash 523. I needed 2 coats to cover well. It's a beautiful silver and blue glitter polish. It put me in the mind of OPI's Absolutely Alice, but without the gold glitter. This one too dried to a matte finish. To mattify it even more I applied one coat of China Glaze Matte Magic.

Warning, Warning. On the back of the bottle it says if you need to thin out the polish use acetone. Don't use acetone...thinner is what you need to thin out goopy polish. Acetone removes polish. You can purchase Beauty Secrets Thinner at a reasonable price at Sally's.

It's a nice change to wear a flat look. When was the last time you put on a matte polish?

My Sunday Nails

Hello everyone,

I know it's been a whole week since I posted a nail of the day. I went to a 3 day convention and for all three days I wore my franken polish "Crushed Ice". I absolutely love it so much I didn't want to take it off (seriously).

Today, I decide to try one of Milani one coat glitters. I don't know what took me so long these are amazing! Silver Dazzle 522 is sooo sparkly. After layering it on I automatically thought it look like asphalt or gravel. It's a silver gunmetal glitter and it dries to a matte finish. It wasn't a one coater for me but two coats gave it a more opaque look. It starves for topcoat so I layered on a coat of Gelous and a coat of Seche Vite. It's all smooth now.

Gelous-Advance Nail Gel Coat is a staple of mine. It can be used as a basecoat or topcoat. I like it because it's great for covering ridges and layering over hungry glitters. You can purchase it at your local Sally's.

Seche Vite is a fast drying topcoat. I love it!!
